SmartEdge will host its second summer school in July as part of the Edge AI Academy Summer School 2025. The summer school will take place in Pisa and will focus on edge computing, AI at the edge and swarming.

The Edge AI Academy Summer School 2025 is a two-day program designed for students, young researchers, and professionals interested in edge AI—a field combining Artificial Intelligence, edge computing, and IoT for local data processing. The program will explore cutting-edge technologies like RISC-V architectures and ultra-low-power processors, enhancing smart IoT and real-time decision-making. Attendees will participate in lectures, hands-on sessions, and collaborative projects led by experts.
Venue: Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies is a top-tier university known for its innovative and interdisciplinary education. It collaborates with the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa within the Pisa University System.
City of Pisa: Renowned for its Leaning Tower, Pisa offers rich historical and architectural heritage, including medieval churches and palaces. It’s also a prominent academic center with centuries-old institutions and a vibrant cultural scene.
